Advertising begins with the advertiser the individual or organization that usually initiates the advertising process. The advertiser also makes the final decisions about what the advertising will be directed to, the media in which it will appear the size of the advertising budget, and the duration of the campaign. The major player in the advertising world is the media used by these advertisers. The media are the channels of communication that carry the messages from the advertiser to the audience. Media organizations are organized to sell space (in print media) and time (in broadcast media).

Purpose of advertisement

The advertising has following purposes:

·         To attract new buyers and try to expand customer base

·          To compete in the market.

·         To create an organization's recognition among consumers.

·         To promote subsidiary or products manufactured by the same company.

·         To bring into notice the changes, special offers or current developments of the interest of the consumers.

·         To increase the sale of a particular product

·          To carry out public relations and public service program.

Misuse of advertisement

Sexy, scandalous and unforgettable are the words the Yale Repertory Theatre uses to describe frank Wedekind’s drama’lulu” the Yale Rep had intended to publicize its upcoming production of Lulu with newspaper advertisement featuring a photograph of a woman’s bare torso with an apple obscuring the public area, of course both the new York Times and new haven register refused to run ad on the ground that the image was obscene. And despite public outcry the author still believe that there is nothing in this image. Sincerely we really had to query the moral uprightness of some of the people look up to for right education. When people throw caution to the air and do whatever they like because of money must be roundly condemned by the whole world.

Sometimes when you run into some website and you hardly can find the relationship between what they offer and the home page banner, I begin to wonder if those people are actually sensible. Most banner in most website are posed by a lady which if not totally naked or half and worst still beside it will be money. What is the meaning? People believe that man actually go for 3 things; Power, money and sex. So I will like to ask this question? To those site that presented money and women together who are their target audience- Is the site meant for only men? Of course not, then I realized that is is basically due to their lack of idea and most occasion their fraudulent activities.

So next time you see an advertisement that push women and money to you, quickly know that they are another fraudulent company.
